  • Description:

    Synthetic DNA fragment encoding His27-His134 part of full-length human proBNP (UniProtKB accession number P16860) was used for recombinant protein expression.

    Protein is partially glycosylated. On the SDS-PAGE the protein has apparent molecular weight between 20 and 25 kDa.

  • Applications:

    Calibrator or standard in BNP or proBNP immunoassays

  • Analysis:

    Purity > 95% (Tricine-SDS-PAGE in reducing conditions).

    ProBNP concentration is determined spectrophotometrically

    Immunoreactivity is confirmed by reaction with monoclonal antibodies specific to different fragments of proBNP molecule.

  • Purification:

    Immunoaffinity purification followed by ion-exchange chromatography

  • Presentation:

    Lyophilized from PBS, pH 7.4

    It is recommended to reconstitute this product with deionized water to its initial concentration.

  • Storage:

    Lyophilized -20°C (-15…-30 °C allowed)
    Reconstituted -70 °C (-65 … -80 °C allowed)

  • Other information:

    Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. It is recommended to aliquot the productafter reconstitution.

    To  prepare  diluted  samples  of  proBNP  it  is  recommended  to  use buffer  solutions  containing  carrier protein and detergent (e.g. 0.05 M Tris-HCl, pH 7.8, 0.15 M NaCl, 0.01% Tween 40, 0.5% bovine serum albumin).
