Properties
Unit | mg |
Cat.# | 8NS3 |
Source: | Post mortal human brain. Blood sample from the tissue donor was tested and found negative for HBsAg, HCV, HIV-1 and 2 antibodies, and syphilis. |
Analysis: | Purity > 95 % (SDS-PAGE). |
Activity: | Specific activity is determined for each lot at 25 °C in 45 mM imidazole, pH 6.8, 45 mM KCl, 1.33 mM Mg2SO4; 1 mM 2-PG. One unit is defined as the amount of NSE converted 1 mol of 2-phospho-D-glycerate per min at 25 °C (J.Biochem. 87, 1587-1594, 1980). Subunit composition is gamma-gamma. |
Immunological activity: | Tested in ELISA and immunoblotting with anti-NSE antibodies. |
Presentation: | 0.1 M Tris-HCl, 5 mM MgSO4, 0.25 M KCl, pH 5.1. |
Purification: | Ion-exchange chromatography and gel-filtration. |
Storage: | -70 °C (-65 … -80 °C allowed) |
Other information: | Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. |
Material safety note: | This product is sold for research use only. Standard Laboratory Practices should be followed when handling this material. |
