Hybridoma clones have been derived from hybridization of Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells of Balb/c mice immunized with human recombinant full-size interferon beta, expressed in E. coli.
MAbs BB4 and BD9 recognize non-glycosylated (expressed in E. coli) and glycosylated (expressed in CHO) recombinant human interferon beta antigens. There is no cross-reactivity with human interferon alpha or human interferon gamma.
IgG2a for MAbs BB4 and BD9
ELISA and Western blotting.
MAb BB4 can be used for coating and MAb BD9 can be used as conjugate in sandwich ELISA.
MAb BD9 has neutralizing activity in Western blotting.
