    Hybridoma clones have been derived from hybridization of Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells of Balb/c mice immunized with conjugate of purified thyroxine (Sigma T-2501) with BSA.

  • Specificity:

    Thyroxine (T4)

    MAbs react with conjugate T4-BSA and with free thyroxine in ELISA. Cross-reactivity with triiodothyronine (Sigma T-2752) is less than 0.1%.

    The reactivity of the MAb XM212 with L-thyroxine is 100 % and with D-thyroxine 30 %.

    Detection of thyroxine. ELISA.

  • Purification:

    1H1 by protein G chromatography
    XM212 by ion exchange chromatography

    1H1 in PBS, pH 7.4, 0.09 % sodium azide (NaN)

    XM212 in 0.15 M NaCl, 10 mM Tris, pH 7.5, 0.05 % of sodium azide (NaN).
