Hybridoma clones have been derived from hybridization of X63-Ag8-653 myeloma cells with spleen cells of Balb/c mice immunized with purified human insulin.
Insulin, human
MAb C7C9 reacts with C-terminal pentapeptide of insulin β-chain. MAbs 7F8 and D4B8 react with different antigenic determinants.
These antibodies cross-react with human proinsulin, bovine insulin (30%) and porcine insulin. No cross-reaction with free C-peptide.

Detection of insulin in sandwich immunoassay. Recommended pair (capture-detection): 7F8 - D4B8.
MAb D4B8 can be used in immunohistochemistry on frozen sections.
